[music |John Hiatt - Crossing Muddy Waters]

I saw Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, Joe Ely, and Guy Clark play an acoustic show together last night.

I wish I was half the songwriter any of those guys are.

My pito es muy guapo. [Oct. 15th, 2006|05:23 pm]
[mood | tired]

I just got back from Mexico. I have come to three conclusions:

1. Roger Clyne has never written a bad song.
2. Mexican-style shrimp cocktails are not proof of God's existence; rather, if He does exist, they are proof of His benevolence.
3. Fixing an extra margarita "for the road" never gets old.

Well, I finally watched Big Fish after Sean recommended it to me, and I must say it's an incredible movie.

The end.

[music |Tool - 10,000 days]

I saw Ravi Shankar play last night. It was incredible.

Oh, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are playing with the Mars Volta here in August, and tickets go on sale today, but for $51.50? Damn. I really want to go. Decisions, decisions. What do you guys think?

I saw the Atomic Punks last night. They're a Van Halen cover band (David Lee Roth era only). It was pretty awesome.

[music |Jimi Hendrix - Red House]

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, they must be songs you are presently enjoying. Post these instructions in your Live Journal along with your seven songs.

My list:

1. Van Morrison - Into the Mystic
2. Dave Matthews Band - Crash Into Me
3. The Eagles - Take it Easy
4. Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism
5. Johnny Cash - Cocaine Blues
6. Led Zeppelin - Hey Hey What Can I Do
7. Jimi Hendrix - Red House

That's my list. If you don't like it, well, you're wrong.

I tag:

Bob
Joe
John
Paul
Jeff
Tom
and Herbert

With no shoes on my feet
But, put me out, put me out
Put me out of misery
